Cranberry Cookie Pops

Pops Ingredients

2 hard-boiled eggs

1 ripe banana

1 tsp carob powder

1 tbsp homemade dog-friendly cranberry jam (see recipe below)

Homemade Dog-Friendly Cranberry Jam Ingredients

1/4 cup fresh cranberries

1/2 cup water

1 tsp honey

Directions

  1. Make the cranberry jam:
  2. Combine cranberries and water in a small pot.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the mixture thickens to a jam consistency.
  4. Add honey and stir well. Let cool before using.

Prepare the base mixture

  1. Puree the hard-boiled eggs and banana together until smooth.
  2. Divide the mixture into two portions.
  3. Create the “chocolate” layer:
  4. Add carob powder to one portion of the mixture and mix thoroughly to form the “chocolate” layer.

Assemble the pops

  1. Spoon a layer of the plain egg and banana mixture into each mold.
  2. Add a layer of cranberry jam.
  3. Top with the “chocolate” mixture, then use a spoon to lightly swirl the layers to create a marbled effect.
