No nylon, no petroleum, no rawhide. Unlike natural bones, HonestChew is made to flake instead of splinter as your dog chews to help prioritize their safety.
HonestChew is built tough and designed for moderate chewers. Its medium hardness delivers long-lasting chew time, while the plant-powered materials naturally wear with use. Like any well-loved chew, it will eventually need a refresh. We recommend replacing HonestChew when about 30-40% of the chew has worn away.
Unlike natural bones, HonestChew is designed to flake rather than splinter during moderate chewing. You may notice small shavings, about the size of a grain of rice, as your dog enjoys the chew. These shavings are made from food-grade, plant-powered materials and will pass naturally in small amounts. If your dog begins breaking off larger pieces, remove and replace the chew. HonestChew is intended as a chew toy, not a treat. As with all chews, always supervise use. If you’re concerned for any reason, we encourage you to consult with your vet since they know you and your pup best.
All great chews need a refresh eventually. We recommend replacing HonestChew when about 30 - 40% has worn away. A good rule of thumb: when the points of the Antler are gone or the Infinity has a gap chewed through to the middle, it’s time for a new HonestChew. You can also subscribe for regular deliveries on a schedule that works for you and your pup.
