Yes! The Bite n’ Brush is meant for light chewers and should always be used under supervision. Its softer material keeps the bristles flexible and gentle—but that also means it’s not designed for unsupervised or heavy chewing.

How durable is the HonestChew?

HonestChew is built tough and designed for moderate chewers. Its medium hardness delivers long-lasting chew time, while the plant-powered materials naturally wear with use. Like any well-loved chew, it will eventually need a refresh. We recommend replacing HonestChew when about 30-40% of the chew has worn away.

Is it normal for my dog to chew parts of the toy off?

Unlike natural bones, HonestChew is designed to flake rather than splinter during moderate chewing. You may notice small shavings, about the size of a grain of rice, as your dog enjoys the chew. These shavings are made from food-grade, plant-powered materials and will pass naturally in small amounts. If your dog begins breaking off larger pieces, remove and replace the chew. HonestChew is intended as a chew toy, not a treat. As with all chews, always supervise use.
